Some of you have read the previous blog posts here for Project Awaiting – my final project of the international master’s in Journalism that I recently finished at Södertörns University outside Stockholm, Sweden. During the process of conducting the research, carrying out practical interviews/drawing and through finalising the research report, there have been a number of people who staunchly stood me by, and to whom I would like to direct my gratitude. They are (in no particular order, but as equally important ⚖️) as follows:
Gary and Sue Halliday, Amery Wyn Sanders, Anna Roxvall, Mark Micallef, Jean-Paul Borg, Salim, Charles Norton, Maria Pisani, Expeditions (and particularly the multi-talented Kim Tondeur for brotherly advice and creative instructions/co-working prior to and during the process), my lecturers at Södertörn University: Liudmila Voronova; Gunnar Nygren; and Andreas Widholm, and of course my patient, kind and engaged supervisor Urban Larssen. Additionally, a little shout out goes to Mats Utas (associate professor in Cultural Anthropology at Uppsala University) for challenging me to a different take on academia and creativity, by opening up for and introducing me to the method of graphic anthropology in Spring 2016.
Special thanks to all the interviewees and participants of the journalistic project while carried out on Malta April 18 to April 22, 2017. You are the message for Project Awaiting, and I hope I have made your participation in it justice somehow!
Thanks also to my family (❣️), and friends (Linus, Semira and Pete, Kim, Mirjam, Kevin, Marzio, Oskar and Frida, Neil, Sofia, Elia and Lovisa, Sara T, Daniel Back…there are apparently many to be grateful to) for believing in me and forgiving me (😮) for not being as vacant as I’d wished over the last few months of writing. Let’s catch up ASAP!
Last, but not least, thank you to Artūras and Jonathan who have been nice and helpful colleagues in the programme (and everyone else who’ve been involved with my journalism studies, like Babiš for instance🎩😹) at Södertörns Högskola…
Did I forget to mention someone truly important? You will hopefully be thanked sooner or later (somehow or when my bad conscience comes knocking)! For now, I hope that someone will actually have the guts to read my articles, and the subsequent ‘Research Report Project Awaiting’ below. The purpose of doing this project, and some clarifying instructions for the texts, are also included in the report.
Thanks for reading, and I’m wishing you all a fabulous end to the Summer season of 2017! See you online… 👀
