Weekend’s almost over here in Sweden, but we have a new week of who knows what in front of us. I just realized January is running off…where did the first three weeks go?? Where did my ambitious plans for Spring go? Like getting to exercise more and to totally avoid artificial sugar… At this day all I can think of is how much I need to travel abroad before I chill my ASS off…:P
I’m not complaining now, I’ve been up to all sorts of things. Like handing in my Final Course Paper at the uni-course I took last semester. Hopefully it went well, not just because it held me awake for more than 24hrs last Thursday… 😉
Besides writing the course paper and working, I’ve had some small reunions with good old friends and also met some new acquaintances. Both local and from overseas… Who knows if I’ll spend some holidays with any of them this year! 🙂
Well, much has happened besides that of course…more great music was heard and shown at P3 Guldgalan 2015 (Swedish public service radio’s annual music awards) this Saturday and most surprising (in my opinion) was that Linda Pira won the award for best hiphop/soul! Although she’s great, but rather as a live-performer and has only but a few hits in my opinion- she also won for the best song of the year “Knäpper mina fingrar (Remix)” (which was totally fair in comparison)! Another surprise was that the award for best pop went to electro-act Beatrice Eli. She’s definately good, but maybe not as familiar as the other nominees in the genre. But, since many of the categories and winners were voted for by the listeners I might be wrong. Still surprised though!
There’s actually pretty good (new) music popping out of this country nowadays, so even if you’re not into the Swedish language you might find something to keep your ears open for! Just remember where you heard/saw it first! © 😉
Wishing you a splendid week!
